Come join us in this relaxed informative two-day observational workshop as Brian Nettles will be demonstrating the pots he makes on and off the potter’s wheel. First day we will discuss clay bodies, under glazes, slips and kilns he employs in his work for atmospheric kilns. Brian will cover centering, throwing, texture and altering wet forms while still on the wheel.  He will demonstrate techniques to help students to use in ways to make larger forms. On the second day Brian will work with altering the forms he made the first day assembling into the altered platters, cups, bowls, covered jars. He will show handle making for cups, bowls and jugs. Demonstrate different lids for the covered jars. Finishing up with surface decoration applying slips and underglazes for the wood/ salt kilns. Students will be given time both days to try some of Brian's techniques.
