This session is 4 weeks long. Beginning students will start with basic throwing techniques and progress with each students’ needs. Hand building will be offered if desired. We will work with stoneware and electric fire to cone 6 making all work microwave and dishwaher safe. the limit is 12 students per class.
Cost is $130 for the four weeks. This includes use of studio tools, up to 25# of clay, studio glazes and firings. We offer open studio hours on Saturdays from noon to 5:00 during the class sessions unless there is a workshop conflict.
Refund Policy: The Kiln will fully refund payment if a student withdraws 5 DAYS PRIOR to the first class. After that time period, there will be no refund. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment, student may receive a full refund or transfer to another class with space available. Any missed classes can be made up within the six week class period by attending another class.
About the teacher:
Susie Bowman has a BFA in sculpure and has worked in clay since the last '90's. She is the owner of The Kiln Studio and Gallery and has been teaching classes for the last 6 years. She mostly works on the wheel in porcelain but varies her methods depending on the goal.
